At Believe Music, we prioritize protecting both the creative rights of our artists and the integrity of the music we distribute. Music licensing is a mandatory prerequisite for any song scheduled for global release under our label. Licensing ensures that every song is legally recognized, copyrighted, and cleared for commercial use, preventing future disputes and unauthorized exploitation. Without proper licensing, tracks are at risk of being removed from platforms, withheld from radio and sync placements, or subject to legal claims that can affect an artist’s royalties and brand.

To distribute your music through our management and ensure full copyright protection, the following are required for each track submitted.
Music Licensing Fees
Each song must be properly licensed and registered through us to obtain and secure your copyright ID and distribution clearance.
Copyright & Ownership
As the original creator, you retain copyright ownership of your work. Licensing formalizes this ownership, giving you exclusive rights to:
1. Reproduce and distribute the song
2. Perform it publicly
3. Authorize remixes or covers Collect royalties worldwide.
Licenses & Permissions
You will have the option to grant certain licenses for commercial use of your work—this includes streaming, public performance, sync licensing (TV/film), and more. These are voluntary agreements that allow others to use your music under your terms, with legal and financial protection in place.

Failure to license a track properly may result in the rejection of a release or removal from digital platforms.

The South African Music Awards (SAMA31) celebrates the nation’s finest musical talent over a two-day event, honoring artists across a wide range of categories and showcasing inspiring performances. Congratulations to Believe Music distributed labels and artists on receiving 17 nominations! Among the standout nominees is Black Motion, the renowned electronic music duo celebrated for fusing house beats with traditional African rhythms and multilingual vocals. No stranger to the SAMA spotlight with past wins for Ya Badimo (2016) and The Healers: The Last Chapter (2020), Black Motion returns with five nominations. Their critically acclaimed album, The Cradle of Art, is recognized in the categories of Best Produced Album, Best Engineered Album, Best Dance Album, and Best Collaboration. The duo, nominated for Duo/Group of the Year, is signed to Next Music. Next Music celebrates eight additional nominations for artists across its roster, including MaxX & Love, Majo, The Man Motels, Dalom Kids, Susanne Drake, and Mthuthu, covering categories such as Beste Kontemporêre Musiek Album, Best Rock Album, Best Afro Pop Album, Best Adult Contemporary Album, and Best African Adult Contemporary Album.
